Introducing Recycling in Egypt
This project was designed as my bachelor project at the German University in Cairo at the faculty of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2011.
The goal of the project was to make all Egyptians aware of recycling and its benefits, but rather than ask them to recycle with no gain, with every amount recycled waste materials a certain amount of profit is given in return, this is to encourage people to do so. Furthermore, a lot of information about how much the country spends on collecting waste materials, along with a video documentation to find out how much people know about it along with visiting the garbage district (Hay El Zabaleen) to get a well explained definition by the people who do it, was collected. Through this video documentation and research the campaign was based.
