Razeen featured in 365 Typo 2016

Razeen is a typeface that I designed during the Masters in Typeface Design in 2014, at the University of Reading in the UK.
Razeen is a multi-script typeface designed for multilingual typesetting of publications and print material. It was designed for continuous reading in environments where more than one script is used alongside each other.
The name Razeen meaning well balanced in Arabic, is inspired by the typeface purpose; which is to help create harmony and balance in situations where multiple scripts are being used simultaneously. One of its main characteristics is its low descenders, which maintains readability in small sizes especially in the Arabic script where characters have deep descenders.
Razeen covers Arabic, Cyrillic, Greek and Latin scripts.”
